Our Story

The Delta Program

The Delta program is designed to assist students in successfully transitioning from school to adulthood. It emphasizes real-world skills and independent living by:

  • Community-based learning: Integrating vocational training and practical life skills within the community.
  • Personalized support: Creating individualized schedules with necessary supports to facilitate the transition.
  • Adult-focused structure: Implementing schedules that mimic the demands of adult life.

Delta 18+

The Delta 18+ program extends Free Appropriate Public Education (FAPE) for eligible students aged 18 and older. It focuses on:

  • Increasing independence: Developing essential life skills for daily living.
  • Community integration: Providing opportunities for community-based instruction.

Eligibility

Students are eligible for Delta 18+ services based on their Individualized Education Program (IEP) and ARD committee recommendations. Student services are provided on a continuum of least restrictive to most restrictive environments providing student opportunities to experience instruction in age-appropriate community-based settings. Transition assessments, post-secondary goals, the student's Admission, Review and Dismissal Committee (ARDC) determines eligibility for services. The student's level of ability to cope with the demands of the least restrictive environment will determine the level of services provided for successful self-regulation of behaviors, interpersonal relationships, adaptability, time management, and problem-solving.

Key Features

  • Individualized Plans: Services are customized to meet each student's unique needs and goals.
  • Belton ISD Provision: The program is an extension of educational services provided by Belton ISD.
